Project

Following a successful first phase, The Bike Storage Company completed a second installation at the Battersea Power Station redevelopment. The brief for Phase 3B was to deliver secure, user-centred, and visually coherent cycle facilities that respect the building’s heritage while serving a mixed residential, commercial, and leisure destination.

Our scope combined high-density parking with robust security and day-to-day usability—fully aligned with BREEAM principles and British manufacturing standards.

Our Solution

We designed, supplied, and installed a suite of British-made systems to maximise capacity and convenience:

Gas-Assisted Two-Tier Racks

• Gas-assisted upper tiers for effortless loading and unloading.
• Secure locking hoops allow frame and wheels to be locked.
• Standard 375 mm centres (customisable to project requirements).
• Made in Britain and BREEAM-compliant.
• EasyGrip handles for improved ergonomics.

Semi-Vertical Cycle Racks

• High-security locking hoop to secure frame and wheels.
• Polyester powder-coated in RAL 9005 Black to coordinate with site aesthetics.
• Front wheel guide and baseplate fixing for stability and neat presentation.
• Modular, indefinitely extendable layout for scalable capacity.

Public Bike Maintenance Stations

• Heavy-duty construction (TIG-welded, laser-cut components).
• Eight essential, aircraft-cable-tethered tools.
• Integrated floor pump (Presta & Schrader compatible).

High-Security Mesh Partitioning

• Hot-dip galvanised mesh and framework with custom RAL finishes.
• Single swing gates with provision for future access control.
• Modular panels available up to 3 m height.
• BREEAM-compliant and Made in Britain.

Sheffield Stands

• Hot-dip galvanised finish for long-term durability.
• Simple, robust parking with high locking security.

Tenant High-Security Mesh Cages

• Galvanised mesh and frames with customisable RAL options.
• Single swing gates and access-control ready.
• Integrated ground anchors to secure 2–3 cycles per cage.

Installation & Delivery

Our installation team coordinated closely with the principal contractor to meet programme milestones, working within a live, multi-stakeholder environment. Works were sequenced for minimal disruption and completed to the site’s stringent quality and safety standards.
