Our latest collaboration in Stevenage with Parkway Construction MK is a perfect example of great problem-solving design, combining functionality, sustainability, and a clean, modern aesthetic to meet the needs of Centric Business Park, a growing urban development.
Set in a prime location along Gunnels Wood Road, this project called for carefully considered bike storage solutions to help future-proof the site and support the community’s shift toward greener, more active lifestyles.
We were asked to design and install a range of bespoke bin, plant, and cycle stores. Each one needed to be practical, robust, and suit the overall look and feel of the development without compromising sustainability.
Working closely with the client, we delivered a complete package of custom-built BREEAM-compliant storage units manufactured in Britain. Every unit was bespoke and built with longevity in mind, using hot-dipped galvanised steel and powder-coated to BS EN ISO 1461:2022 finishes to ensure it withstands the UK elements.
A key sustainability feature is our signature sedum roofs and habitat panels, which offer aesthetic value, promote biodiversity, manage rainwater runoff, and help lower ambient temperatures. The sedum system includes a three-part drainage layer, riverstone border, and integrated rainwater pipework.
Every shelter and store uses British steel built to meet BREEAM standards, supporting developers in achieving sustainability credits. Sedum roofs and habitat panels promote green infrastructure and passive insulation.
We managed everything from design refinement to final install. Working closely with Parkway MK ensured smooth execution with minimal disruption.
We don’t just supply storage, we design purpose-built infrastructure that enhances the environment and supports sustainable development. The Centric Stevenage project proves that thoughtful design and durable materials can elevate everyday utility spaces into long-term assets.
