Location: Prince of Wales Drive, Battersea, London
Prince of Wales Drive is an iconic residential development moments from Battersea Park and Zone 1’s Battersea Power Station.
Spanning 2.5 acres of landscaped gardens, the site includes 926 contemporary apartments and world-class amenities such as a pool, residents’ cinema, and sky lounge. As part of its sustainability strategy, the developer integrated premium cycle storage from The Bike Storage Company—ensuring residents benefit from secure, efficient, and visually refined cycling facilities.
The proximity to major transport links and a growing commitment to active travel created strong demand for high-capacity, design-conscious bike storage. We were commissioned to deliver a comprehensive storage solution that combined practicality, architectural quality, and long-term durability.
Selected for their efficiency and adaptability, the Solo Vertical Bike Racks maximise storage capacity while maintaining a sleek, user-friendly design—perfectly suited to the building’s modern aesthetic.
The vertical racks were installed with staggered heights to optimise density, supported by welded baseplates for added stability.
To further enhance capacity, we installed Two-Tier Bike Racks—providing secure, space-saving storage for residents. These racks combine ease of use with high-density layout efficiency.
Combined with Sheffield Cycle Stands on the lower channels, the racks provide flexible, user-friendly storage that encourages daily cycling while maximising available space.
To secure the bike rooms, we supplied and installed tamper-proof 50×50 security mesh fencing—engineered for strength
and integration with the development’s design language.
At Prince of Wales Drive, thoughtful integration of cycle storage enhances both convenience and sustainability. By delivering a robust yet elegant system, The Bike Storage Company helped create a cycling-friendly community that mirrors the development’s luxury and environmental values.
