Our longstanding collaboration with Wates continued at The Everglades, Hounslow, where we designed and installed bespoke, high-security shelters with sedum green roofs to align with sustainability goals and enhance the site’s visual character.

Our Solution: Eastbrook Cycle Shelter

We delivered a customised specification of our Eastbrook Cycle Shelter—a flagship, high-security enclosure that balances function, durability, and aesthetic quality. The solution exceeds performance expectations while remaining adaptable to site needs.

1) Durable Materials

• Heavy-duty 80 mm box-section frame with 358 high-security mesh for tamper resistance.
• Framework hot-dip galvanised and powder coated (RAL 8025) to BS EN ISO 1461:2009 for longevity.

2) Flexible Customisation

• Alternative mesh types and internal mesh options for elevated security.
• Multiple locking specifications and advanced access control (e.g., swipe card units).
• Internal layouts configurable for two-tier and Sheffield systems.

3) Sedum Green Roof

• Integrated sedum roof to support biodiversity, reduce heat gain, and soften the visual profile.

4) BREEAM Alignment

• Shelters and rack choices specified to be BREEAM-friendly, supporting project sustainability credits.

5) High-Security Access & Lighting

• Energy-efficient LED lighting (IP65-rated) with PIR motion sensors for night-time safety and reduced energy use.

Installation & Delivery

Our team coordinated with the site programme to install both shelters on a reinforced concrete slab. Works were sequenced to Wates’ timeline, with clear stakeholder communication to ensure expectations were met.
